Jefferson Beautification, Inc. and the Parkway Promenade

Jefferson Beautification, Inc./Parkway Promenade is a volunteer, private sector, non-profit, 501 (c) (3) corporation formed in 1990 to provide funding for tree planting and beautification projects on public green spaces in Jefferson Parish and to promote tree planting and beautification through education and public awareness.

Since 1990, Jefferson Beautification, Inc., (JBI) has completed projects totaling over $1,200,000. The projects are executed in cooperation with government entities, businesses, individuals, civic groups, garden clubs, schools and other non-profit organizations. Over 2000 volunteers have been involved in installing and maintaining the projects.

Jefferson Beautification Inc., has been able to fund these projects through private donations, grants from foundations, corporations, governmental agencies and fund raising.

The volunteer organization is governed by a board of community minded citizens who serve in a non-compensatory capacity.
